Let us look into your eyes…

Understanding your eye health is important for you and your family, no matter your age. Some eye conditions you are born with, while others can occur over time as you get older. Understanding your vision and making adjustments (if necessary) can prevent problems with your eye health.

We have qualified therapeutic optometrists based in our practice to complete your non-invasive eye exam. Our friendly, experienced team at Spectrum Family Eyecare are here to guide you on your journey to better eye health.

Why do I need an eye test?

Have you ever asked yourself, ‘do I need an eye test?’, if so, chances are you’ve noticed a problem with your vision. If you’re struggling to read street signs, have a lot of migraines, or have recognised visual stress symptoms, your eyesight could be the cause.

Eye conditions

During your eye examination, we can identify eye conditions which may be causing the symptoms you are experiencing.

Once diagnosed, we are able to provide you a solution to reduce not only your symptoms, but the deterioration of your precious eyesight.

Macular degeneration

Caused by abnormal blood vessels which leak into the macular. Surgery and/or a combination of vitamins and minerals may reduce the disease progression. Unfortunately, non-curable.

Retinal problems

There are many retinal diseases and conditions which can be repaired, however, if the retina detaches and is not treated promptly, vision loss or blindness may occur.

Glaucoma

A group of eye conditions which cause gradual vision loss. Damage is often caused by abnormally high pressure in your eye. Unfortunately, non-curable.

Cataracts

Usually caused from age or damage within the tissue, however, cataracts can be congenital. Treatable with surgery where your natural lens is replaced with an artificial lens.

Diabetes

Can be recognised by damaged blood vessels in the eye. Symptoms include blurry vision, black spots, and poor colour perception. Diabetes can also cause blindness. Unfortunately, non-curable.

Have you noticed abnormalities with your eyesight?

Rodenstock DNEye® scanner

At Spectrum Family Eye Care, we have introduced the Rodenstock DNEye® high-precision 3D scanner into our practice. This revolutionary technology utilises an axial length measurement tool to measure your eyes more precisely than ever before. This allows us to detect and monitor the development of Myopia earlier and help prevent future problems with your eyesight.
